SERVICE: A La Carte Graphic Design + Mini Branding & Logo Design
We had the opportunity to create a mini brand identity for a nonprofit dedicated to making a difference for children and families. The project centered around the concept "Rooted in Hope," a modern, abstract take on growth and community inspired by Oregon's early spring aesthetic.
We started by exploring multiple logo directions, from a sunburst mark to a heart-and-wordmark combination, before landing on a tree icon as the strongest visual metaphor for the brand's mission. The final logo features an organically shaped tree, its leaves rendered in a mix of deep berry, deep teal, and soft lime green, paired with a bold Montserrat wordmark. Geometric color block shapes and earthy, "rooted" elements carried through the supporting design system, giving the brand a grounded yet playful feel.
From there, we extended the identity into a real-world application: an event invitation and newsletter design announcing the organization's annual celebration, an evening of hors d'oeuvres and community support for their mission. The invite carried the same color palette and tree logo, reinforcing brand recognition while giving the piece its own clean, inviting layout suited for email. The result was a small but complete brand system, flexible enough to move from mood board to logo to a finished marketing piece.
